I'm Friederike, a jazz singer, musical performer, and teacher with 35 years on stage and in the studio. Music is my mother tongue. I grew up in a classical musician's family and studied musical theater and jazz at the UDK Berlin and in Hilversum. Since then I've performed with jazz, pop, and soul bands and taught with great passion at SIRIUS Music School. My lessons tie solid vocal technique, from bel canto to speech level to functional approaches, to real stylistic range and creative freedom. Whether you want to find your own sound, strengthen your improvisation, develop your songwriting, or accompany yourself on piano or guitar, I shape the lessons so technique, expression, and interpretation move hand in hand. I focus on phrasing freedom, building repertoire, and stage presence, so you don't just sing, you really perform with expression. Improvising is my passion, and that joy of musical discovery is exactly what I want to pass on to you.

I've taught voice, piano, and music theory for 35 years at music schools and privately. My lessons welcome learners of every age and level, from beginners to advanced singers looking to build their stage presence and improvisation. My method draws on different vocal techniques like bel canto, speech level, and functional voice training, always tuned to the style you choose. I care deeply that my students develop their own sound and style while building a solid technical foundation. My years on stage and in concert flow straight into the lessons, especially around interpretation, phrasing, and working with live bands. I also teach instrumental basics for self-accompaniment and songwriting.
