I'm Iris, a professional composer with a master's degree and a doctoral candidate, and my great passion is sharing the many facets of music with you. For several years I've taught music theory, piano and violin at the SIRIUS Music School – always showing you the fascinating link between theory and practice. Whether you're taking your first steps on an instrument, want to understand chords and keys, or want to develop your own musical language through composition: my lessons are built to make music accessible, understandable and inspiring. Ear training, improvisation, playing technique and musical analysis flow in naturally, so you don't just play but really grasp music. It matters to me to understand your individual goals and to shape the lessons so that you stay motivated and keep growing. I've taught violin, piano, music theory and composition for several years, to children, teenagers and adults, both one-to-one and in groups. My lessons tie theoretical content closely to practical exercises and are always shaped around my students' individual needs. I care in particular about making music theory and composition accessible and demystifying them, so you can develop your own musical language. In instrumental teaching I specialise in beginners, while in music theory and composition I work with all levels of knowledge. My method combines ear training, musical analysis and practical music-making, so you can build a well-rounded understanding of music.
