Hi, I'm Jan, and I've played piano since I was six. I discovered my love of teaching during a year of volunteer service at an elementary school, and for over nine years now I've guided students of every age and level on their musical path. I teach at the SIRIUS Music School, and I care a lot about starting lessons exactly where you are right now. Together we define your musical goals, whether you want to interpret classical pieces, improvise over jazz chords, or play your favorite pop and film songs. My approach blends clear technique with a playful way in that's genuinely fun and motivating. We build ear training, rhythm, and expression step by step in a loose, relaxed atmosphere, because learning through joy simply works best. I've taught piano for nine years now, working with 12 to 15 students every week. My experience spans every age and level, from kids to adults, from beginners to advanced players. A playful approach matters to me, one that puts the joy of making music front and center. I tailor lessons to each learner's wishes and goals and keep the atmosphere loose and relaxed. Stylistically I move from classical to jazz and pop to film music and improvisation, so I can serve all kinds of musical interests.
