I'm James, a saxophonist and pianist with over 14 years of playing under my belt, and I love the stage. I want to pass that excitement on. I teach at the SIRIUS Music School and build my lessons so every student gets coached as an individual. Whether you're just picking up the sax or already advanced, I help you refine your technique and grow your musical expression. My goal is for you to find your own voice and expand into genres like pop or jazz. In lessons we'll work on the foundations, note reading, rhythm, ear training, plus the creative side: improvisation and understanding chords. My lessons cover a wide range of saxophone playing and work for both beginners and advanced musicians. I build around each student's goals and tastes, whether that's pop, jazz, or Latin. I put real care into the fundamentals: how the instrument works, note reading, and rhythm. We also develop tone and breathing, along with an understanding of music theory and improvisation. My approach gives learners creative freedom while preparing them for the technical demands of playing.
