I'm Birga, a singer, musician, and voice coach with years of stage and teaching experience. I've been performing since I was seventeen, and in that time I've explored many musical worlds, from jazz and soul to rock and improvised music. To me, music isn't just technique, it's expression, communication, and joy above all. I teach at SIRIUS Music School and work with teens and adults of every age to help them consciously discover their voice and use it with confidence. My lessons tie solid vocal technique to creative shaping: we work on breath, sound, and expression, train your ear and sense of rhythm, and bring songs from your favorite repertoire to life. I love reaching for classical exercises and then reshaping them so they fit your goals exactly. Every voice is unique, and sometimes all it takes is a little courage, curiosity, and playfulness to discover what's inside you. I've worked for many years as a singer, musician, and voice coach, teaching singing to people of every age, from 16 to 86. My experience includes 18 years as a music teacher in public schools, plus years of stage work in jazz, soul, pop, and improvised singing. I work in a very personal, sensitive way and tune my lessons to each student's needs and goals, from beginners to advanced singers. My method blends classical voice training with modern vocal techniques, folding in breath, body awareness, and musical understanding. I put special weight on helping students consciously discover their voice, develop it technically, and use it with joy and authenticity. Ear training, rhythm work, and the basics of music theory naturally flow into my lessons too, to build a well-rounded musical understanding.
