Hi, I'm Ruben – guitarist, bassist and musicologist with over 10 years of teaching experience at music schools and in one-to-one coaching. At the SIRIUS Music School I teach electric guitar, guitar and bass, and I bring my passion for jazz, rock and improvisation into every lesson. As an active musician I'm on stage regularly, so I know exactly what counts: solid technique, musical expression and the ability to turn theory straight into practice. My lessons are tailored to you, whether you're just starting out or have been playing for a while and feel stuck. I combine structured progression with creative freedom: we always work on chords, keys and rhythm inside a musical context, never in isolation. I especially enjoy teaching advanced playing techniques like sweep picking, economy picking and tapping – areas where I can draw on real stage experience. My goal: that you don't just make progress but develop genuine joy in the instrument and keep growing in the long run.

I've taught guitar, electric guitar and electric bass one-to-one at music schools and privately for over 10 years. My experience covers beginners as much as advanced players looking to refine their technique. I always tie theory directly to practical application on the instrument – nothing stays abstract. A particular focus of my teaching is advanced playing techniques such as sweep picking, economy picking and tapping, which I teach out of my own active practice as a musician. My approach is individual: I work from your level and your goals and make sure technique, musical expression and real understanding go hand in hand.
