A singing lesson with SIRIUS starts from $29, and a free first lesson sits ahead of the paid ones. The terms you set yourself, your coach registers at the outset and works from, so the session opens where you want it to. One coach, one session and a written plan you keep: that is what the figure covers. The opening rate, the one a later lesson is measured from, is the figure above.
The thing people call tone deafness and the thing they usually have are two different things with one name. One is a condition of the ear; the other is a habit of the breath. Somebody in their first month carries the terms they set themselves into the second, and the habit is usually gone by then. Two meanings share a word, and the rare one is not the common complaint.
The Aspen Choral Society has run a chorus under this town's name since 2000, and the high school on Grand Avenue employs a music teacher at the other end of the span. One body has carried the town's name for a quarter of a century; the other lists two posts and names neither holder. A beginner in whatever month swaps the file that stays with them for a fuller one as the years pass. The year 2000 dates a chorus, and no year dates a voice.
The Summer of Music runs seven Wednesdays, and the paper called the last one the seventh and final Wednesday night performance of the summer series. Seven were scheduled, and the seventh was the seventh. Your regular lesson calls for the file that stays with you to be read before each session, and reading it is what makes a month count twice. The count runs out at seven; singing has no such number.
Train 6 runs from Glenwood Springs toward Chicago and Train 5 toward Emeryville, and the printed schedule gives one time per station without saying whether the train is arriving or departing. One time stands under the station name, and the page does not label it. A first-month student does without the ambiguity online: the session has a start, an end and a recording. The printed time withholds the one thing you wanted to know.

Ride Glenwood Springs carries people up and down one valley, and the city that runs it has two names for each direction. The bus that goes upvalley is the bus that goes south. The bus that goes downvalley is the bus that goes north. Both namings sit in one summer rider's guide, and it declines to pick a side. Here the river settles which way is up, and the compass takes second place.
One booklet from the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority heads the same bus RIDE GLENWOOD UPVALLEY on one page and RIDE GLENWOOD (RG) SOUTHBOUND ROUTE on another. The southbound bus, the one the booklet calls upvalley, is timed at West Glenwood Park & Ride at 6:53 a.m., and the booklet calls that figure an arrival. Toward the end of a phrase, SIRIUS writes out the step up into the chorus in words you can use on your own, because a thing with two names is a thing that needs describing carefully. The page number decides which word you read first.
Glenwood Music on Blake Avenue teaches voice and puts no figure beside it: Times of lessons, prices, and goals should be discussed directly with each of our instructors. The shop hands the question to the person who will answer it. The song you keep returning to, your coach resets around whatever the voice is doing this month, and the resetting happens inside the session, not in a note afterward. The instructor sets the terms there; here one coach sets them with you, in writing.
The Glenwood Springs Summer of Music put seven Wednesday evenings into Two Rivers Park in 2026, from July 1 through August 12, each of them at 6:30 p.m. The series that ended on August 12 began on July 1, six Wednesdays earlier. Singing works to that kind of count: a student in their first month catches the step up into the chorus before they can hold it, and holding it is the work of the following weeks. The seventh Wednesday closes a series; the seventh session opens the part that lasts.
Your coach at SIRIUS follows the music you chose, and whatever plan the session produces is yours to read. Your plan, the written one, moves when the month moves. SIRIUS leaves open the evening it falls on and asks about the music, which is the part that cannot be rescheduled. Booking, shifting and adding a session runs through a browser. Your taste steers the exercises, and the exercises steer what the next session opens with.
The RFTA booklet explains its own print: Arrivals in bold are scheduled timepoints, and the times set in lighter type are estimates. Bold type promises a time; lighter type estimates one. A recording draws that distinction between what you remember and what actually happened. Your regular lesson redraws that climb into the chorus as many times as it takes, and the recording holds each attempt. The bold type promises, and the recording proves.
The Glenwood Vaudeville Revue at 915 Grand Ave charges $35 for adults, $30 for seniors and $20 for kids 12 and under, and prints beside those figures that those prices cover the show, with food and beverages optional and a la carte. Doors open at 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and the performance follows at 6:45pm. The Community Art Center at 601 East 6th Street, run by Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation, is housed in the City's Historic Hydroelectric Plant, built in 1888. The settlement was called Defiance; the post office took the name Glenwood Springs on March 28, 1884, and the city itself was incorporated on September 4, 1885.
The Glenwood Springs Arts Council offers its scholarship to residents of Garfield County ages 5 to 18, up to $200 per year, and covers 50% of the cost. Five years old at one end of that range, eighteen at the other, and one form covers both. Singing lessons run past both ends of it: the staff list at Glenwood Springs High School names a Music Teacher and a Band Director, and the adults who book an evening session left school a long time ago. SIRIUS takes along whichever song you keep coming back to, whatever the age of the person coming back. The age range stops at eighteen for a grant; a voice does not stop there.
Ride Glenwood ON-DEMAND runs Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m., and it goes point to point instead of along a line. The ride starts where you are, and it ends where you say. Somebody in their first month files the evening a session falls on and then moves it twice before the month is out, which is ordinary and costs a fee to no one. The point-to-point ride dispenses with the fixed route, and a booked session dispenses with the fixed evening.
The Strawberry Days Festival ran for the 129th time in 2026 and put its parade at 10 a.m. on the Saturday. The parade went at 10 a.m.; the festival around it closed at two different times across its three days. The voice teacher you were paired with asks for that climb early, because it tells them most of what they need. That parade had one published time, and a first session has no such fixture to repeat.
Upvalley runs south here and downvalley runs north, and one booklet prints both namings. Two words for one direction, and the booklet uses both without deciding. The voice teacher you were paired with shifts the terms you set yourself as the voice changes, and writes the new ones down. The river overrules the compass on that page, and what you can hear overrules what you assumed on yours.
