The box office of Jasper Arts keeps weekday hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, and opens again an hour before showtime at whichever house is playing. One counter, two buildings, and a move an hour before the curtain. Lessons open from $29, and a trial lesson you are not charged for comes ahead of them. SIRIUS carries whatever you sing next from the trial into the lesson that follows, so the two run as one sequence. The counter follows the performance across town and opens again at whichever door is in use.
On general admission nights at The Astra Theatre the Best Home Furnishings Balcony opens when pre-sales call for it, and stays shut otherwise. How large that house turns out to be gets settled during the sale. Said of a voice, the words name a capacity, while what they usually record is a room and an occasion. In a standing lesson the entry you keep missing is the work itself, and it gets named in the first session. The chorus in town, for its part, writes that it holds no auditions.
The Jasper Band Program covers two schools from one address on Saint Charles Street. Jasper Middle School and Jasper High School, one program between them. Whoever is singing, the written record gets reordered around them, from a child through to somebody starting again late. The room does not change between the two, and neither does the printed rate: Monday through Thursday $157.00, Friday through Sunday $183.75, on a lease signed before use. For the stationary cars the City of Jasper prints the Park Department number and draws no such line, and the rental list of the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center carries no such proviso either.
The Jasper Community Arts Commission was founded on May 12, 1975 as part of the City of Jasper and sits under the authority of the Jasper City Council, with eleven appointed members drawn from the Mayor, the Jasper City Council, the Jasper Parks and Recreation Board and the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Board. Art in this city has a chain of appointment written down, and each link names who does the appointing. The Jasper Arts Center at 951 College Avenue was finished in 1977 as the Jasper Civic Auditorium and took an extension in March 1983. The Celebration Singers sang the Strassenfest opening ceremony on the Courthouse Square on July 30, 2026 and closed the same festival at Holy Family Catholic Church on August 2, 2026; the Jasper Strassenfest Committee lists its next festival for August 5 to 8, 2027. The Philharmonic Music Club of Jasper, whose president Donna Bryan is listed with a telephone number, put the Celebration Singers and the Jasper High School Choir on one bill at the Dubois County Museum on June 14, 2026.
The Jasper Band Program of Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools draws nearly 325 students from Jasper Middle and High Schools into marching band, concert and symphonic bands, jazz and pep bands and winter guard. One program spans two schools from a single street address.
Ride Solution Inc. carries riders in Jasper door to door on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and publishes no line and no stop. Exact change is the condition; the door is the pickup point. The terms you named survive a change of week, and a standing lesson gets renegotiated along with them. A ride is arranged by telephone; a lesson gets set in writing.
A first visit to the Celebration Singers means walking into a rehearsal at Redeemer Lutheran Church, and the Jasper dates run on the second and fourth Mondays through July 27, 2026. Arrive on one of those Mondays, join, and order the shirt through the choir. The teacher on the call reorders whatever you sing next once the first evening has actually been heard. The shirt is ordered through the choir, and the rehearsals move on from Jasper after July.
Two telephone numbers hang on the same room at 201 Mill Street, and the one that applies turns on whether the door is open to the public. Private, and the Jasper Park Department answers; public, and the Jasper Board of Public Works does. Whoever signs up writes down the entry you keep missing, and no board is asked about it. The room stays the room; the question is who else may come.
