Tell us what you want to play and we match you with one of more than 150 vetted piano teachers, taking your own criteria into account. The first lesson is a free trial lesson with no obligation, and you decide after it whether to carry on.
After the trial you and your teacher agree on a weekly slot. Every lesson runs 45 minutes, one-on-one and live over video, and the hourly rate starts at $29 in a monthly plan. You can move a lesson or switch teachers in the booking tool.
Piano is coordination before it is talent, and coordination answers to work. The first short pieces with both hands together - a melody in the right hand over a few notes in the left - usually come after a few weeks of regular practice. How far you go from there depends on how often you sit down between lessons, which is what the sheet music in your SIRIUS Workspace is for.
No one is too late to begin: a private piano lesson lets you work at the instrument you already have, one-on-one, without waiting for a group to catch up. For a child, a one-on-one lesson keeps all 45 minutes on one pair of hands rather than on a room full of them.
Beginners need no prior experience at all. Anyone can learn to play the piano, and the early lessons are about hand position, posture and reading both clefs rather than repertoire. Our teachers work with complete beginners as often as with advanced players, and every lesson is built around your own goals and the music you want to play.

Piano teaching inside Collierville comes down to one music school we found in town, with private and group lessons billed by the month. Bartlett, the closest larger city, lies 15.9 miles off in a straight line, and downtown Memphis is 23.0 miles away. An online lesson keeps the weekly piano slot at home instead of on a drive across the metro area.
Online lessons take the travel out of the week: no drive, no parking, and a slot that stays the same even when the rest of the week does not. Your teacher follows your hands and your posture on camera, stops you where a passage goes wrong, and works from the same sheet music you have open. If a teacher turns out not to fit, you switch in the booking tool.
SIRIUS has over 150 piano teachers, part of more than 400 music teachers across vocals, piano and guitar. Every one of them is vetted and handpicked before a single lesson, carries a SIRIUS certification, and stays in regular training and quality control. We teach every level and every age, from a first lesson to stage-ready.
You are matched rather than assigned: tell us your style, your goals and your schedule, and we find the teacher who fits them. Lessons run live over video on software we developed ourselves for music lessons, so the sound carries the detail an instrument lesson depends on, with nothing to install. In the SIRIUS Workspace your sheet music stays open to you between lessons as well as during them.

A lesson is 45 minutes, and in a monthly plan the hourly rate starts at $29. Your trial lesson is free. A plan covers two, three or four hours a month on a three- or six-month membership; more hours and a longer term bring the hourly rate down. You can pause or adjust your plan at any time. A music school in Collierville that teaches piano publishes its 2026 rate: $199 a month for a weekly 30-minute private lesson or $159 a month for a weekly 45-minute group lesson, plus a one-time $39 enrollment fee.
A keyboard is enough to begin on. What matters more than the number of keys is touch sensitivity: the keys have to answer to how hard you press, because that is how piano technique is built. Teachers widely treat 61 touch-sensitive keys as workable for a first year and recommend a full 88 weighted keys once you are a year or two in. Your teacher will look at what you have in the trial lesson.
Most piano teachers start children at around six or seven, once a child knows basic letters and numbers, can follow a simple instruction and can sit and focus for a stretch. Readiness counts for more than the birthday, and the free trial lesson is where you and the teacher find out whether yours is ready. Adults start with us at every age, and nobody is too late.
That depends on what you want to play and on how much you practice between lessons. Piano asks two hands to do different things at once, so the early work is hand position, reading both clefs and keeping a steady pulse. A first piece that uses both hands together tends to arrive after a stretch of regular practice, and the exercises in your Workspace are what carry the days in between.
Yes, and the reason is specific to the piano. A piano lesson is mostly listening, demonstrating and repeating, and none of that needs the same room. Your teacher follows your hand position and your posture on camera and can stop you mid-phrase, and the sheet music you work from stays open in your Workspace between lessons. Southaven, Mississippi, is 20.0 miles from Collierville in a straight line, and an online piano lesson needs no travel at all because it takes place at home.

Collierville has run its own school district, Collierville Schools, since July 2014, with six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. Both middle schools have a band booster club and an orchestra booster club on the IRS register, as of October 19, 2026. At the high school, the band program listed five ensembles for the 2025-2026 season - marching band, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band - and two of them, the Wind Symphony and the Symphonic Band, required an All-West audition.
The high school's 1,000-seat auditorium holds a Steinway Model D concert grand, and the manufacturer lists Collierville High School as a Steinway Select School. Outside school, we found one music school with a location in town that teaches piano to children and adults, privately and in groups. The IRS register shows no tax-exempt music school and no orchestra with a Collierville mailing address, and we found no piano store in town.
