Ours is settled before you ask: singing lessons open at $29. The hour in front of them is on us. Two variables shift it later: duration and frequency. Thirty minutes against sixty; weekly against fortnightly. The lesson sold at its own counter keeps its price on the counter too.
First Baptist Church Somerset puts the distinction in one line: auditions for the speaking parts are complete, and singers are still wanted for the choir. Tested on one side, open on the other. The worry behind your question splits the same way. Reading music is learned from a syllabus; singers work for decades without needing it, and the subject opens whenever you ask for it.
