Kapiʻolani Regional Park hosts the International ʻUkulele Festival of Hawaiʻi each summer, drawing players of every age. Easy Music Center on South King Street has been selling instruments in town since 1939 and stocks guitars alongside well over a hundred ʻukulele models. Between the shops, the festivals and the nightly hotel sets there is a working circuit here, and the gap between practicing in your living room and sitting in with other people is smaller than it looks.
