Longview's main stage sits on a university campus. The Belcher Center at LeTourneau University brings touring productions to East Texas and hosts the Longview Symphony Orchestra's concerts. Every summer the Great Texas Balloon Race puts balloons over the city and an outdoor music lineup underneath them. Longview World of Wonders keeps families coming downtown. SIRIUS Music School handles the part none of those provide: one-to-one voice training, taught online.
East Texas takes its church music seriously, and a great deal of local singing happens on a Sunday morning in front of several hundred people. That is a demanding place to learn on the job.
A weekly lesson with a coach who suits your voice is a far better way to get there.
Your coach spends the first meeting finding your range, testing breath support and listening for the places intonation slips.
Then the work is aimed at something specific: a Belcher Center audition, a praise team spot, a country set at a local bar.
