As long as you want the figure before the rest, here it is. Our price starts at $29 and rises with what you book; the hour ahead of it is unpriced. That figure buys sixty minutes in which one coach listens to one voice, writes a plan and leaves you the recording. Blocks are not bought ahead here, and no balance runs down. The commitment is one hour long, and it stops there.
Consider the two halves apart, because they are apart. Voices Rise! prints No Musical Experience Necessary beside a cap of 100, which is a group saying out loud that ability is not a condition. Reading music keeps to a settled order, staff, intervals, rhythm, and it moves in weeks. Producing sound is habit, and habit answers to repetition. Of the three M State ensembles exactly one is auditioned, so two doors stand open even there. The library runs its Tech Help in hour-long appointments, one topic at a time, and the sixth line on the list is Other topic of your choice. A lesson works the same way. Your coach runs both halves inside the same hour.
Several published conditions in this town count heads and hours and skip age entirely. Singing needs a lower line, at about six, since a spoken instruction survives a full exercise by then. Above it there is no ceiling to bump into. In the teenage years, with the instrument under reconstruction, a second listener matters more than later on. Neither the library's rooms nor the county fair asks how old you are, and neither does a coach. Adults get there at whatever age they get there, and the hour takes its shape from that person.
Two clocks are running in this question. Voices Rise! rehearses for 75 minutes on a Friday morning, which is a useful yardstick: a habit forms over a run of those, not inside one. The lesson itself runs sixty minutes, weekly, and a shorter slot taken twice as often suits younger singers better. Progress runs slower. M State prints 15 sessions for its Concert Band. A run of that length makes a fair first marker, because a phrase by then sets off more evenly and the top notes cost less. A season after that the register shift stops drawing notice. A year on, the difference sits in the page you can sing from cold.
The condition first: a camera on the device, a connection that holds, a door that shuts. Bethlehem Lutheran Church broadcasts its 8:30 a.m. service on KBRF 1250 AM and streams it, which travels outward and hears no answer. A lesson travels both ways. A piano, a microphone and a treated room are optional, each of them. What your coach needs is the breath beneath your note, and that arrives clearly enough to correct before the note ends.

A Center for the Arts caps Voices Rise! at 100 and asks for $25 per person, and the line it prints beside that is No Musical Experience Necessary. Conditions in this town are clocks, deadlines and head counts. Hardly one of them asks for a document. The Census Bureau put Fergus Falls at 14,246 residents for 2025, and a singing lesson fits that habit exactly: what it asks of you is an hour, not a form.
Rehearsals for that group run Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Good Shepherd LB Church, which is 75 minutes with a clock at each end. M State starts a Voice Ensemble on 9/14/2026 at 5:45 p.m. and charges $50.00 for the course. Both are fixed points in somebody else's week. A SIRIUS hour is a point in yours, and it can be set, moved and set again without a third party's permission.
The Fergus Falls Public Library prints a head count on each of its six rooms: two study rooms for one or two people, a third for up to four, a conference room for fourteen, another for ten, and the Jean Dahling Community Room for up to 75. Voices Rise! stops at 100. Those are the local measures of how many can be in a room. A SIRIUS hour measures one, and the whole of it goes to the voice that showed up.
M State lists a Concert Band, a Concert Choir, a Voice Ensemble and an Associate of Fine Arts in Music, and exactly one of the three ensembles is auditioned. The library runs Tech Help in hour-long appointments booked by phone, across six named topics, the last of which is Other topic of your choice. A course ends and an appointment ends, and a SIRIUS hour carries on afterward. The work is a breath long enough for the whole clause, a handover of register that leaves no ridge, intonation that refuses to drift under noise, and notation read fast enough to stay on the part.
The Otter Express prints three different spans for one ride: booking up to two weeks ahead, a suggestion to call two days ahead, and cancellation before one hour. A Center for the Arts staffs its ticket window Tuesday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., leaving Monday, Saturday and Sunday unmentioned. Both want you to come to them. A lesson comes to you instead. The price starts at $29 and rises with what you book, while the hour ahead of it is unpriced. After that come a coach who fits whoever is singing, a plan set on paper, and a slot that follows your week.
The library charges $0.05 per gram on its MakerBot Replicator+ 3D Printer and lets it run while the doors are open, and no longer. Bethlehem Lutheran Church sends its 8:30 a.m. service out over KBRF 1250 AM and streams it as well. One stops at closing time and the other travels one way. A SIRIUS hour does what neither covers: it works over video both ways, records itself as it goes, and parks the recording, the drills and a note in writing where you can reach them through the week.
Voices Rise! rehearses Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. under Director Aimee Nordlund, with a final concert on a Saturday at 1:00 p.m. M State runs a Concert Band on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. under Jeffrey Sands and a Voice Ensemble on Mondays from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. under Laura Quaintance, each at $50.00 for the course. Bethlehem Lutheran Church prints September to May beside its 10:30 a.m. service and prints no months beside the 8:30 a.m. one.
Three conditions published here count heads and hours and leave years out. Voices Rise! takes 100 and wants no prior experience; the library's rooms take one, two, four, ten, fourteen or 75; Tech Help takes an hour. Nowhere among them is there an age bracket. Singing keeps one line and puts it low, at around six, the age when a spoken instruction survives a whole exercise. Above that the door stands open, and the hour takes the shape of whoever walks through.
The Otter Express serves Fergus Falls from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and adds $1.00 for a same day ride, which is a way of pricing short notice. The library takes no same day reservations, and the number to call is (218) 739-9387. A SIRIUS hour adds no surcharge for short notice and turns away no short notice either. Book it, shift it, add a second, and the calendar it works from stays yours.
Registration for the county fair lottery opens on June 19th at 8:00 AM online; M State opens a course through its catalog; the library opens a room over the telephone. Clocks and deadlines, each one of them. One condition around here does bear a name: the Jean Dahling Community Room, which wants a Community Room Use Policy and Application, a piece of paper the other conditions here do without. A trial hour wants no paper either. Bring a piece you have kept for years, run it once, and what you carry out is the two adjustments that move the sound fastest.
Otter Tail County keeps its seat in Fergus Falls, and the Otter Express board meets at 1:00 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at 1225 N Tower Road. The 10:30 a.m. service downtown carries September to May in brackets and prints no months for June, July and August. Calendars here have edges and holes. A weekly hour runs alongside them and skips neither summer nor holiday. Fergus Falls can start you at home in the week ahead, with a single song and one listener.
