The prices published alongside a Brentwood address in this research set the frame. Nearly every adult is teachable as a singer, and the churches here put that in writing themselves. The choir at Brentwood Baptist Church on Concord Road puts it plainly: "No musical training or expertise is required." Brentwood United Methodist publishes its Chancel Choir as open to all adults. The JoySound Orchestra at the same address states that "No audition is necessary." Singing is breath, posture, ear and repetition, and each responds to training. The difference a teacher makes is the speed of the correction.
There is a published answer for the youngest and a practical one for adults. The Worship & Arts Academy at 7777 Concord Road accepts voice students from age 12. Younger children sing in groups here: the BUMC Children's Choirs for ages 4 through grade 5 meet Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. at 309 Franklin Road, and the Jubilation and Sonshine choirs for grades 6 through 12 meet Sundays from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. At the other end, an adult of any age qualifies: the BUMC Ringers take adult ringers aged 18 and over with no ringing experience required.
The first change comes quickly. Within three or four lessons the tone usually steadies and the phrase runs longer, because breath support and posture respond fast. A reliable range across the register break, clean intonation on sustained notes and the confidence to carry a solo line usually take six months to a year of weekly work. If your goal is the audition and interview the BUMC Worship Band publishes, plan on months rather than weeks.
The week here answers that question by itself. Both Wednesday rehearsals, on Concord Road and on Franklin Road, run into the evening from just after six. Mason Music Brentwood's published teaching window on Franklin Road closes at 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, the very hours a Wednesday rehearsal occupies. An online lesson moves to whichever day the week has actually left open, and it takes the drive between Concord Road, Franklin Road and Southgate Court out of the evening.

The City of Brentwood published its 2026 Summer Concert Series in Crockett Park, 1500 Volunteer Parkway: four evenings between May 31 and July 4, 2026, with The Wannabeatles, The Eaglemaniacs, Cruizin Keys Dueling Pianos with Rubiks Groove, and The Downtown Band. The John P. Holt Brentwood Library at 8109 Concord Road keeps a monthly adult program calendar.
Some names that sound local publish addresses elsewhere: the Williamson County Community Chorus rehearses Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. on the Academy Park campus in Franklin, and the Franklin Brentwood Arts Academy publishes 210 Gothic Court in Franklin. The Nashville Symphony, the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry publish addresses in Nashville.
Three starting points are typical here. The first of these has read that the Chancel Choir is open to all adults and believes it, but wants to know where the break in the voice sits before standing in the Choral Suite on a Wednesday.
The second is a singer of twelve or older, the age at which the Worship & Arts Academy at 7777 Concord Road opens voice to students. The third is the adult aiming at the BUMC Worship Band, which publishes an audition and interview as its process - a song, a key that suits the voice, an entrance that lands, and the composure to sing it twice.
Wednesday evening in Brentwood is booked twice. The choir at Brentwood Baptist rehearses from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Concord Road; the Chancel Choir at Brentwood United Methodist rehearses from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Franklin Road. Sing in either and your Wednesday is spent. Mason Music Brentwood, at 330 Franklin Road, Suite 276B, teaches Monday to Friday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment - a Wednesday lesson there sits inside the same evening.
