The Bach Choir of Bethlehem was founded in 1898 and is the oldest Bach choir in the country; it gave the American premiere of the Mass in B Minor and still fills Packer Memorial Church for its festival each May. In August, Musikfest spreads ten days of largely free music across the city, much of it around SteelStacks under the blast furnaces of the old Bethlehem Steel plant. Wind Creek Event Center books the bigger touring shows, and Moravian University has taught music here for generations. SIRIUS Music School adds private voice lessons, online.
